At Deer Point, we create well-rounded learning by developing the whole person and preparing students to become life-ready leaders. We value every person on campus for their individual gifts and talents. Students are supported as they take ownership of their personal and academic lives. We set goals. We work hard. We celebrate!
Thanks to our students’ and staff’s hard work and fidelity to our school mission and the principles and practice of the Leader in Me initiative, we were awarded Lighthouse School status in 2019—an achievement reached by approximately 300 schools worldwide—making our Anglers true beacons in our community—and we could not be more proud! In addition to being engaged in a rigorous academic program, every student at Deer Point has a leadership role and belongs to an Anglers in Action (AiA) team that allows them to explore their interests in a club-like setting during the school day. These teams learn to synergize and lead their own learning while giving back to the school or community. At Deer Point, we believe that great leaders serve; great leaders give back!
