Bay District Schools is excited to announce Michelle Good as the new principal of Deer Point Elementary School.
Good brings more than a decade of experience in education and school leadership. She currently serves as principal of Callaway Elementary School, where she has led the campus since 2022, guiding the school through state turnaround status while improving academic performance through targeted interventions, data-driven decision-making, and differentiated instructional strategies. Her leadership has also been recognized across the district, including being named Bay District Schools Principal of the Year.
Good will take the helm at Deer Point following the leadership of Becki Reeder, who has served as principal since 2015. After a decade leading the school, Reeder has decided to return to the classroom for the 2026-2027 school year to finish her career in education.
Good officially begins as Deer Point’s principal on July 1, but will begin transitioning into the role as early as April. We are excited for the Deer Point community to welcome her leadership, energy, and commitment to student success as we continue working to Put the “A” Back in Bay.
