What specific academic planning do you offer for military families?

Our school counselors work with military families to provide information and resources about the academic programs in our school.

What resources and educational opportunities do you offer for military children?

Our school provides Chromebooks to each student to use during the school day. We provide intervention and enrichment opportunities daily. Monthly, students participate in cross-grade level student selected learning activities. Gifted students participate in project-based learning. All students participate in educational field trips to enhance their learning.

Tell us about your student-led transition team

A team of students lead an orientation meeting for new military students within two weeks of their enrollment. Students receive brochures, take a student-led tour of campus, and participate in a question and answer session with current students.

What supports do you offer for military ESE children?

We have a highly qualified ESE staff that provides instruction to ESE students within a regular classroom or in a self-contained classroom based on the student's IEP.

What military recognition events do you have planned?

We honor Veterans annually during a school-wide ceremony. During the month of November, students create cards for residents of the local Veterans' Nursing Home. Throughout the year, we maintain a display highlighting military families and Veterans. In April, we celebrate "The Month of the Military Child" with designated days to wear purple, school-wide displays, and special recognition of our military students.

How do military children access mental health services on your campus?

Our school has a team of mental health professionals who are available to students with or without an appointment. Our MFLC also has scheduled meetings with military students and is available to meet with students throughout the day.
